Keri Russell Reacts After Learning Taylor Swift Once Called Her the 'Coolest Celebrity Ever'

Keri Russell is responding to finding out Taylor Swift is a fan!

The 49-year-old star of The Diplomat visited The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday (October 6), which happened to be the same night the 35-year-old Life of the Showgirl creator was there.

The late-night talk show host thought it would be fun to show Keri a screenshot of Taylor‘s 2008 Myspace bio in which she wrote, “I think Keri Russell is the coolest celebrity ever.”

The pop star, who would have been about 19 at the time, shared a post recounting meeting Keri alongside some of her friends. One of them had a wife who wanted to know how the actress got her famous Felicity-era hair.

Taylor says Keri was so kind and wrote down all of the products and tools she used to make her hair straight or curly.

“I think it’s so awesome when cool people don’t know they’re cool,” she wrote.

Jimmy then asked Keri if she remembered meeting the singer back then.

“I do remember meeting her, and I remember meeting her mom, who was so lovely,” she shared.

The Americans actress went on to say that, at the time, Taylor was doing “more country stuff,” and she remembers thinking, “‘Oh God, I hope something great happens to her. I hope she makes it.’”

Keri‘s daughter, Willa, is also a big Taylor fan, so her mom brought her along to The Tonight Show knowing she would be there, and it sounds like they got to meet backstage!
