YouTubers Dan & Phil Reveal They've Been Dating for 16 Years
Dan and Phil are together!
The YouTubers, individually Dan Howell and Phil Lester, confirmed they’ve been dating since 2009 in a new video posted to their official YouTube account, which has nearly 3 million subscribers.
While the stars came out years ago, and also acknowledged a romantic relationship in the past, they had not acknowledged the status of their current relationship until now.

“Alright, let’s get this over with. Are Dan and Phil in a relationship?” Dan asked at the start of the video, called “Are Dan and Phil in a Relationship,” to which Phil said “Yes.”
Dan added: “We fell into it hard and fast in 2009 and here we are almost 16 years later.”
“We have had ups and downs like anybody. We have lived a thousand lifetimes of a normal person’s partnership and I have no idea why we’ve survived.”
Last year, the duo launched their third joint tour, called Terrible Influence, which ran through early 2025. They also announced a podcast coming soon.
“15 years of suppressing all of these stories and opinions and they’re finally gonna come out,” Phil said. Watch their announcement above!
