Meghan Markle's Camp Refutes Allegations That She Stole A $1,700 Dress

Meghan Markle is pushing back on new rumors about her wardrobe, specifically, claims that she walked away with a designer gown from a 2022 photo shoot.

The controversy started with Netflix’s release of the trailer for the holiday episode of With Love, Meghan last week. In it, Meghan wears a $1,695 Galvan “Ushuaia” green dress that she previously wore for a Variety photo shoot, reports People.

Now, some fashion insiders are claiming the Duchess of Sussex took the dress from the shoot without permission. But a spokesperson for the royal refutes the allegations.

“The insinuation that any items were taken without the full knowledge and agreement of the on-set stylists or their respective teams is not only categorically false, but also highly defamatory,” they told People. “Any items kept were done so in total transparency and in accordance with contractual arrangements.”
