Marlon Wayans Teases ‘White Chicks’, ‘Don’t Be a Menace’ Sequels If ‘Scary Movie 6’ Does Well: “We’ll Be Back Real Hard”

Now that Cindy, Brenda, Ray and Shorty are back for more screams and laughs, Marlon Wayans is looking to bring back more of his memorable characters.

The Scary Movie 6 co-writer and star explained that if the upcoming sequel, which premieres June 12 in theaters, does well at the box office, he intends to make sequels to White Chicks (2004) and Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996).

“When y’all see this movie, you’ll be like, ‘That’s it. That’s the one. That’s what we needed,’” he said on Rap Attack. “Y’all belly will be full and you’ll be wanting more.”

Wayans added, “And so, if Scary Movie does well like we hope it does, then we’ll be back real hard, next White Chicks 2 and Don’t Be a Menace 2. We’re going to dig in the crates and bring back some hits. We know how.”

Noting that the trailer for Scary Movie 6 will debut Feb. 27, playing at Scream 7 showings, Wayans teased that the horror parody sees the returns of Cindy (Anna Faris), Brend (Regina Hall), Shorty (Marlon Wayans), Ray (Shawn Wayans), Doofy (Dave Sheridan), Greg (Lochlyn Munro), Gail (Cheri Oteri) and Mahalik (Anthony Anderson).

In August, Deadline exclusively reported that Faris and Hall are back for Scary Movie 6, with Marlon penning the script alongside brothers Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans. Although the brothers developed the franchise together, they were absent from the last three installments.

As we also reported, the sequel features Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner and returning star Chris Elliott.
