Michael Kelly, Kevin Pollak Thriller ‘Time Of Death’ Sets U.S. Release, Cannes Sales
EXCLUSIVE: Radiant International has closed international deals for the Michael Kelly, Kevin Pollak, Mena Suvari and Dennis Haybert thriller Time of Death in Benelux with Premiere TV, Portugal with Nos
Lusomundo and Poland with Media4Fun. Radiant also has deals in the works with Germany, Italy and Spain with the feature for sale at the Cannes Marché du Film from May 11-16.
Separately, a domestic distribution deal has been closed for theatrical day-and-date PVOD on June 12 with Vertical.
The Will Wernick directed movie is set inside an isolated, decaying prison, and follows one man’s journey down a sinister, winding path of lies, corruption and buried secrets. This tense, atmospheric horror is full of mystery, darkness and the unknown – as the lines of reality and delusion begin to blur.
Jason Rosen wrote the screenplay. Pic was produced by Wernick, Rosen, Kelly Delson, Jeff Delson and Kyle David Crosby, in association with Ikigai International.
“Working with Michael, watching him bring Frank Morley to life alongside Kevin, Dennis and Mena, has been surreal and incredibly fulfilling. Their performances support the film’s unpredictable, haunting narrative and give it real emotional weight. I’m immensely proud of what we’ve created. I can’t wait for people to see it,” said Wernick.
SVP of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi negotiated the deal on behalf of Vertical, with Radiant Films
International negotiating on behalf of the filmmakers.
“We’re elated to continue our relationship with Vertical Entertainment, the perfect domestic distribution home for this film” CEO Mimi Steinbauer said.
Kelly is represented by WME and Liebman Entertainment. Pollak is represented by Gersh. Mena Suvari is represented by Innovative Artists and MPE. Dennis Haysbert is represented by IAG and GS Management. Will Wernick is represented by Aleksey Ageyev at AIG, Zero Gravity and the Matthew Bronson Law Group.
