Erin Moriarty is opening up about her health.
In new Instagram post, the 30-year-old actress, best known for her roles in The Boys and Jessica Jones, revealed that she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease.
Graves’ disease is an “autoimmune disease that affects your thyroid gland. The gland produces too much thyroid hormone, a condition known as hyperthyroidism. An overactive thyroid causes problems with your heart and bones,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Perhaps greatly, perhaps minutely. One thing I can say: if I hadn’t chalked it all up to stress and fatigue, I would’ve caught this sooner.”
She continued, “A month ago, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. Within 24 hours of beginning treatment, I felt the light coming back on. It’s been increasing in strength ever since. If yours is dimming, even slightly, go get checked. Don’t ‘suck it up’ and transcend suffering; you deserve to be comfy. S–t’s hard enough as is.”
Last year, Daisy Ridley also revealed her Graves’ disease diagnosis.
