Alicia Silverstone Teases 'Evolved' Cher In 'Clueless' Reboot Series

Alicia Silverstone is teasing what may change about her character Cher Horowitz in the upcoming Clueless reboot series.

The hit 1990s movie is in development for a reboot from Gossip Girl writers and producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, with the 48-year-old actress reprising her iconic role.

In a new interview, Alicia shared what could be different about the 2025 version of Cher, which also coincides with her personal lifestyle.

“I can’t wait to step back into Cher’s skin and her fancy designer shoes that will be gently used, of course, duh, because she’s evolved,” she told ET. “This is 2025, she’s not wearing the new stuff unless it’s sustainable or vegan. We’ll have to see how far we can go with that.”

She also reiterated previous comments about it still being in early stages and they are doing their best to bring the nostalgia, but make it updated.

“It’s very early stages. I’m obviously excited. I never thought that was something that I would ever do because I wouldn’t wanna mess up this thing that we all love so much,” Alicia said. “We will do our very best to honor the original movie that we love and also bring something new to it. That’s the goal, and I believe we will execute that goal.”

Dollface creator Jordan Weiss is also on board for the series, which is in the works at Peacock, where the original movie is currently available to stream!
