One of our favourite races of the year has to be the glamorous Killarney Races. And we thought we couldn’t love it more until we found out about this year’s Best Dressed Day.
The O’Donoghue Ring Collection, home to renowned hotels, bars and restaurants in Kerry including Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa, Café du Parc and Pig’s Lane, is excited to announce that two of Ireland’s most prominent lifestyle personalities, James Patrice and Lisa Jordan, will be guest judging the collection’s Best Dressed Day on Saturday 23rd August as it continues its proud partnership with the Killarney Races.
Set against the backdrop of Ireland’s most scenic racecourse, the three-day August Festival marks the final flourish of summer and welcomes in the autumn.
All eyes are set to be on the Saturday with both the O’Donoghue Ring Collection Handicap Steeplechase and the Festival’s sartorial showpiece – Best Dressed Day.
This year’s competition will be judged by the ever-elegant entrepreneur and founder of LUNA by Lisa, Lisa Jordan, and celebrated TV presenter and entertainer James Patrice, known for Dancing with the Stars, The Today Show, and The Rose of Tralee.
Together, Lisa and James will lead the search for the most stylish racegoers, with an incredible host of luxury prizes to be won.
Lisa enthused: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be judging this year’s Best Dressed Day. Irish fashion has never been more exciting or expressive. We’re calling on entrants of all ages and genders to showcase their true style with a strong emphasis on individuality, creative flair, and a fresh perspective.”
James, who was recently crowned Most Stylish Man at the Platinum VIP Style Awards in Dublin, added: “The challenge is set: dress with confidence, elegance, and imagination. We can’t wait to see what the ladies and gents of Kerry have in store for us.”

Adding to the glamour of the day, Café du Parc returns trackside with its exclusive pop-up bar, serving bespoke cocktails in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Cinco Patricio’s Tequila.
Gates open at 11.55am, with the first race scheduled for approximately 1.55pm.
