All About Michael J. Fox’s Twin Daughters, Aquinnah and Schuyler Fox

Michael J. Fox may have risen to fame by playing Marty McFly in 1985’s Back to the Future, but his twin girls — Aquinnah and Schuyler — know him better as “Dad.”

Michael and his longtime wife Tracy Pollan welcomed their twins in February 1995. The couple also share an older son, Sam, and younger daughter, Esmé. Like their sister, the twins maintain a low profile, keeping their social media accounts and relationships private.

However, Aquinnah and Schuyler have publicly supported their father over the years, including standing by him at the 2023 Spring Moving Image Awards, where he received a lifetime achievement award.

Around the same time, the girls also made rare appearances in Michael’s documentary, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, which features scenes of the family at home.

“They all gave me their permission. And then, at various times, they retracted their permission,” he joked to PEOPLE in May 2023.

Aquinnah Kathleen Fox, 30

Michael and Pollan welcomed their daughter Aquinnah and her twin sister on Feb. 15, 1995.

The town of Aquinnah, which is on the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, means a lot to the couple — it’s where their relationship started, Pollan wrote on her Instagram.

Aquinnah went to Duke University and studied psychology, visual & media studies and art history, according to her LinkedIn profile. While working toward her bachelor’s degree, Aquinnah participated in the Duke University ballet program.

She graduated in May 2018, with her dad sharing a sweet celebratory message on Instagram. “You beat me to it!” he wrote. “Couldn’t be a prouder pop, love you sweetie.”

Shortly after, Aquinnah started her career in New York City as an associate at the advertising agency Ogilvy.

In 2021, she moved to Los Angeles and followed in her dad’s path into entertainment, becoming an assistant at United Talent Agency. Aquinnah currently works in TV development at Annapurna Pictures.

In a sweet message for his girls’ 29th birthday in 2024, Michael hyped up his daughters’ recent accomplishments.

“Double the love. Happy birthday. You’re crushing it,” he wrote. “I love you, Doods ❤️.”

Schuyler Frances Fox, 30

Schuyler was also born on Feb. 15, 1995, alongside her twin.

While she hasn’t shared much about her childhood, Schuyler attended Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology, according to her LinkedIn profile.

While at school, Schuyler competed in sprints and jumps as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer women’s track and field team, even ranking seventh in program history in the long jump, per her athlete bio.

Schuyler seems to have retained her love of running since college, competing in the May 2024 Brooklyn Half Marathon alongside her sister Esmé.

“Could not be more proud of these two! You did it!” their mom captioned a photo of them biting their medals.

After her graduation, Schuyler began working as a project coordinator at Columbia University Medical Center and even spent time as a research cohorts officer at her dad’s foundation. In 2022, she earned a master’s degree in education from Harvard.

On LinkedIn, Schuyler describes herself as “passionate about using storytelling for education and impact.” Currently, she creates educational children’s content as a producer at a production studio in Boston.

In April 2024, Michael revealed that Schuyler was engaged. “You know, my daughter’s getting married too,” he teased in an interview with PEOPLE. “Good things are happening, and life is good. And so it’s been a good year, for sure.”

Schuyler and her longtime partner tied the knot on June 22, 2024 — which also happened to be her mom’s birthday — in the Catskill Mountains in New York. Ali Wentworth, George Stephanopoulos and Jennifer Grey were all spotted in attendance for the nuptials.

“The weather was absolutely perfect, despite the heat wave,” an onlooker told PEOPLE. “It really looked like a picture-perfect garden party. They seemed like such an adorable, gentle family.”
