Amazon Luna Launches on Comcast’s Xfinity Devices in the U.S (Gaming News Roundup)


Comcast and Amazon have partnered to launch the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service across X1 and Xfinity Xumo Stream Box devices in the U.S.

Additionally, Rogers customers in Canada will have access to Luna on the Rogers Xfinity Stream Box. 

Under the deal, those with Prime membership will have access to AAA games including “Hogwarts Legacy” and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” along with family friendly titles like “Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg” and “The Jackbox Party Pack 9.”

Per the companies, “Completely redesigned and reimagined for players of all interest and experience levels, Amazon Luna makes it even easier for anyone to play high-quality games on the devices they already own, with no need to purchase new gaming consoles or equipment. Prime members can play more than 50 games on Luna at no additional cost. This includes the new GameNight collection of approachable local multiplayer games designed to bring friends and family together in the living room, with players requiring only their mobile phones to join in on the fun.”

ProbablyMonsters launched “Storm Lancers” for PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in the Americas and Asia Pacific, with Europe release scheduled across those devices for Jan. 14. 

Per the indie developer, “In ‘Storm Lancers,’ players crash-land on an alien planet harboring a secret source of powerful magic. All of reality is on the verge of collapse, and two magical creatures have chosen these two crash survivors to be their heroes. To save the planet of Cryptica, the pair will fight, die, and bond with the Stormhearts to rise again — stronger, fiercer, and unstoppable.”

Electronic Arts’ “EA SPORTS FC 26” revealed new Classic XI Heroes in Football Ultimate Team.

Per EA, “To welcome a Hero with the Classic XI Hero Pack, players must simply log into Football Ultimate Team with their EA Account by January 12 at 9:59 am PT. Celebrating the special Classic XI Hero Item, at the start of Team of the Year, these new items will also receive a special one-time upgrade, transforming into Team of the Year Honourable Mention Heroes, to capture the Heroic Moments that defined their Career!”

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) put tickets on sale for the inaugural iicon (Interactive Innovation Conference).

Described as a “premier leadership forum spotlighting the impact of interactive technologies on the future of global business,” iicon will take place April 27–30, 2026 in Las Vegas.

Electronic Arts’ EA Sports has announced its plans for events during Super Bowl LX week in February in San Francisco, including EA Sports Presents Madden Bowl, in partnership with Visa.

Per EA, “EA SPORTS Presents Madden Bowl in partnership with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, will kick off Super Bowl weekend on Feb. 6 at San Francisco’s Chase Center. The can’t-miss football-and-music takeover event will feature a star-studded Blue Carpet, genre-mixing concert lineup, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content fans can only get through EA SPORTS channels. The full music lineup, featuring more than five artists ranging from chart-topping headliners to a rising local favorite, will drop in January.”
