Andrew Scott reunites with Girls creator for new comedy

Andrew Scott

Andrew Scott has had enough of making us cry, it would seem.

The Dublin man has been involved in several comedies in recent years, after projects like Fleabag and All Of Us Strangers left fans devastated.

Now he is set to join a new Channel 4 comedy, It Gets Worse.

He will reunite with Girls creator, Lena Dunham, who he starred alongside in her latest Netflix series, Too Much, earlier this year.

The show follows three friends, Ethan, Abi and Sam, who are being kicked out of their London home by their landlord.

The comedy series has been written comedian Leo Reich, who stars as Ethan, alongside House of Guinness actor Emily Fairn as Abi, and Save Me’s Olive Gray as Sam.

Andrew isn’t the only Irish face in the cast as Normal People star, India Mullen will also appear in the upcoming series.

Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg is also starring in the programme, best known for her brilliantly awkward interviews with A-Listers. We’re excited to see how that translates to acting.

The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, Killing Eve’s Sean Delaney, and Count Abdulla star Arian Nik will also appear in the upcoming comedy.

The show will air in 2026.
