Anthony Hopkins Admits to Cheating on His Ex-Wife Jennifer Lynton

Anthony Hopkins is getting honest about his past relationship with Jennifer Lynton.

The 87-year-old actor shared his life story in his new memoir, We Did OK, Kid, released on Tuesday (November 4).

In the book, he admitted to having affairs during his marriage.

He was married three times: first to Petronella Barker from 1966 to 1972, then Jennifer from 1973 to 2002, and currently to wife Stella Arroyave since 2003.

He met Jennifer in December 1969, and wrote in the book that she “stayed with me for 20 years. I did not make it easy on her. She’d caught a tiger by the tail.”

“She turned a blind eye to whatever I was up to. It was only years later that she knew about my infidelities,” he wrote, per People.

“I don’t know whether she took a lover too. I rather hope she did. I would never blame her for it. It would be some consolation to know that she found some happiness in those years in spite of me. It was sad because she deserved better than me, she really did. She brought a change in my life, and I blew it. I take full responsibility for that,” he added.

He also opened up about his painful estrangement from his only child.
