Aoife Walsh reflects on the emotional high of her surprise proposal

Aoife Walsh has shared her overwhelming joy following her surprise engagement, describing the moment as one of pure happiness and disbelief.

Yes, the mother of one shared the news of her engagement at the weekend after she had been enjoying a fabulous trip in Lisbon with her partner, Ben, when he got down on one knee to pop the question.

Now, she’s finally got a chance to catch her breath and open up about just how magical the moment was.

Taking to Instagram, Aoife shared an array of photos, where she shows off her new bling.

“On absolute cloud 9,” she captioned the post.

“It’s so hard to put into words how I feel except that euphoric feeling of pure happiness. I’m so grateful for what life had in store for me all along.

“Literally can’t believe it, like I’m so emotional,” she added.

“Can’t wait to be your wife @bennynich9. I’ll for sure share the full engagement story with you gals once I get my head around it all.

“It’s a good one. Ben is such a romantic and totally caught me on the hop,” she concluded.

Aoife recently took to Instagram to reveal that she had been “keeping a secret” as she shared that she was in a relationship.

The former Miss Ireland was seen wearing a beautiful bejewelled pink dress in a video she shared on social media. She stepped away from the camera before a mystery man joined her and spun her around.

She wrote: “Sometimes love just sneaks up on you.”
