Brooks Naders Explains Why She Won't Talk About Ex-Husband Billy Haire on New Reality Show

Brooks Nader is sharing some rare comments about her ex-husband Billy Haire.

If you didn’t know, the 28-year-old Sports Illustrated model and the 39-year-old advertising executive married in December 2019 and it was revealed in May 2024 that they had separated and were headed towards a divorce.

In a new interview promoting her new Freeform reality series Love Thy Nader, Brooks explained why she won’t be talking about her split from Billy on the show.

Keep reading to find out more…“I would say it’s a part of my life and a part of my story,” Brooks said of her divorce on The Viall Files podcast. “It’s a part of who I am and what shaped me.”

Brooks‘ sisters Mary Holland, Grace Ann, and Sarah Jane then revealed that a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) played a factor in her not talking about Billy on the show.

“I can [talk] about my experiences. That’s in the fine print,” Brooks explained. “We both did [sign one]. It was a mutually exclusive [NDA].”

“I think that I was a different person when I was married to him,” she later added. “[He] was the first guy I ever dated and met in New York. I was 19 years old … and then I stayed with him till 27, and I’m 28 now.”

Brooks continued, “I feel like it did shape me, and it was a really, really hard decision to get a divorce just because you don’t love somebody. That’s why I did it.”

Earlier this year, Brooks revealed that she and Billy are still legally married.
