THIS IS MY GENERATION

Re: Kris Kristofferson, singer-songwriter and actor, dies at 88, online, Sept. 29

When a singer from my generation dies, it makes me want to head down to the basement and find the album. But that is pointless today as I no longer have a turntable.

Anyway, Kris Kristofferson’s Help Me Make It Through the Night, with the Highwaymen, it doesn’t get any better than that. Makes you want to get up and dance in the kitchen. Play it. You’ll see.

To finish up, every generation has its own music. But “my generation” (who sang it?), contrary to what my children and grandchildren think, will go down in history as having the best.

WHAT ABOUT A SLUSH FUND BRIEFING?

So the Liberals want to brief Jagmeet Singh on how great the carbon tax is for fighting climate change. What an absolute joke.

When are Canadians going to get answers regarding what I believe is the Liberals’ biggest scandal so far? I’m talking about the green slush fund. The Liberals are trying to cover up by redacting documents that should be public knowledge.

Canadian taxpayers have every right to know exactly where our money goes.

2 x 2 = 4

There are four faces in Canadian politics that I dislike. Jagmeet Singh has two of them and Yves-François Blanchet has the other two.

GUILBEAULT CREATED A MESS

I saw an interview with our Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault telling the average Canadian their climate policy is a complex issue. What’s not complex is if I’m laying out $500 in added taxes for gas, heating and all the price increases associated with carbon tax, and I get $500 back from the government, what’s the benefit.

The emissions are not going down, we’ve spent $200 billion, now that’s complex. Not to mention a whole new bureaucracy was created to collect the tax only to turn around and send it back? What’s complex is how this government is still in power not listening to the people.
