Christina Elmore Joins Damon Wayans Jr. In NBC Pilot ‘Puzzled’
EXCLUSIVE: Christina Elmore (The Girls On the Bus) is set as a lead opposite Damon Wayans Jr. in the NBC drama pilot Puzzled, from writer Joey Falco and Universal Television.
In Puzzled, based on the Danielle Trussoni novel The Puzzle Master, after barely escaping a tragic fire, once promising college athlete Mike Brink (Wayans Jr.) is transformed by a traumatic brain injury that gives him the unique ability to see the world in an unexpected way and helps him solve crimes with local police.
Elmore plays Angela, who runs Atlanta PD’s Major Crimes Section and is raising three kids, two roles she’s cursed to love in equal measure.
Falco executive produces alongside Jordan Cerf of Linden Entertainment. Trussoni is a producer. Jesse Peretz is director and executive producer on the pilot.
Elmore played one of the leads of HBO Max’s series The Girls on the Bus. Her credits also include Lena Waithe’s BET series Twenties, Issa Rae’s HBO comedy Insecure and TNT’s drama The Last Ship. Elmore is repped by Gersh, OPE Partners and Hansen Jacobson Teller.
