Dave Bautista Cast in 'Highlander' Remake Movie Starring Henry Cavill
Dave Bautista is the latest star to join the cast of the upcoming Highlander remake!
On Thursday (August 7), it was reported that the 56-year-old WWE star turned actor will be starring opposite Henry Cavill in the upcoming remake of the hit ’80s cult classic movie.
Highlander was released back in 1986 and followed immortal beings who hunted each other down in order to collect more power. Four sequels were made and three television series were produced.
While Henry, 42, will be playing immortal warrior Connor MacLeod in the upcoming movie, Deadline reports that Dave will be playing The Kurgan, who “was an Immortal who was a contender for The Prize — the power of all the Immortals who ever lived. During his life, Kurgan was a bad dude, killing and raping, and taking the heads of many Immortals.”
The remake was first announced over four years ago when it was revealed that Chad Stahelski, who is the director of all the John Wick movies, will direct the new movie.
Back in June it was announced that this Oscar-winning actor had also joined the cast!
