Creator of the Downton universe, Julian Fellowes, has written the third film, with Simon Curtis returning to direct.
Fortunately, there are so many returning faces for the final film in the franchise. However, there are 2 past stars who are confirmed to not be featured in the movie.
This appears to be the final film in the Downton franchise, which began as a TV series that lasted for 6 seasons. It aired from 2010 through 2015, and then two other movies were made in the years that followed.
