Drew Barrymore Reveals Her Daughter Spent Days in the E.R. After E-Bike Accident

Drew Barrymore is praising her daughter’s quick thinking after a scary accident!

The 50-year-old actress was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday (September 4).

During the episode, Drew revealed that she recently spent part of her European vacation in the emergency room after her daughter had an accident. Although the accident was scary, Drew revealed the quick thinking action her daughter took that really impressed the actress.

“My daughter, actually she got in an e-bike accident. In France, which sounds so fabulous,” Drew joked during the episode. “Yes, so we were in fabulous France and then she had an e-bike accident.”

Drew said that her daughter is fine now as she recalled the scary incident, saying, “And she was like a mile out in the mountains and ripped her whole elbow open. It was completely just, we spent days in an E.R. in and out, she’s fine. But she ripped off her bra and turned it into a tourniquet, and I was like…”

Host Stephen Colbert praised the way Drew raised her daughters after she revealed the clever medical move, but Drew said that was all her daughter.

“No! That’s just who she is. And I just marvel at her,” Drew said fondly of her child.

Drew shares two children, 11-year-old Frankie and 12-year-old Olive, with her ex-husband, Will Kopelman.
