The Duffer Brothers are not leaving Netflix just yet: the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is set to debut over the holidays this year, starting at Thanksgiving and continuing through Christmas and New Year’s. An animated series, Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, will premiere next year, and other spinoffs, including a live-action series and an anime project, are in development.
Their company, Upside Down Pictures, is also behind two non-Stranger Things Netflix series coming in 2026: The Boroughs, and the horror series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.
