DWTS JUDGES

We hope your cowboy boots are at the ready as it’s Country Week on Dancing with the Stars!

Yes, tonight the celebs are lighting up the dance floor with country flair and a hint of sparkle, all while dancing to keep their spot in the competition.

With everything to play for, the pressure is well and truly on.

So with that, here’s how everyone got on…

Amber Wilson and Alex Vladimirov

Amber Wilson and her professional partner Alex Vladimirov started the night by bringing a modern country twist to the floor with an American Smooth to Chappell Roan’s smash hit The Giver.

“You’ve definitely come so far in confidence and performance, but for me, I don’t think there was enough smoothness in the American smooth,” commented head judge Oti Mabuse.

While Arthur Gourounlian agreed, adding: “It was groovy, but try to relax and enjoy more.”

Amber received five points from all the judges except Oti, who awarded her four points, giving her a total score of 19.

Ireland AM presenter Eric Roberts took to the floor with Arianna Favaro for a Viennese Waltz to Chris Stapleton’s rendition of the ’80s ballad Tennessee Whiskey.

“Overall, apart from those odd little watery moments, the rest was pure liquor. Well done,” praised Brian Redmond.

“You have gorgeous footwork, you made it look effortless,” commented Karen Byrne.

Brian awarded a score of seven, while Karen, Oti and Arthur each gave eight, bringing the couple’s total to an impressive 31 points.

Niamh Kavanagh and Stephen Vincent

Hoping the judges wouldn’t take the lyrics too much to heart, Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh danced a Cha-Cha-Cha to Shania Twain’s That Don’t Impress Me Much alongside Stephen Vincent.

“I thought your leg and foot work weren’t as strong as they should be,” said Oti. “But you’re very easy to watch when you’re performing. You literally shine, so bring that same work to the lower part of your body.”

Arthur, however, was less convinced, adding: “This Cha-Cha-Cha didn’t impress me much. I need you to come back and surprise us next week.”

Niamh was awarded four points from Brian, five from Karen, three from Oti and four from Arthur, giving her a total score of 16.

Jordan Dargan and Rebecca Scott

The Apprentice star Jordan Dargan and his partner Rebecca Scott delivered a dramatic Paso Doble to Jelly Roll’s Dead End Road.

“This is what I’m talking about,” said Karen.

Brian was equally impressed, adding: “Last week I said you were flying high, but after this Paso, everyone is going to see you as a danger man. Well done.”

Jordan picked up eight points from both Brian and Oti, with Karen and Arthur awarding nines, securing a strong total of 34 points.
