Ego Nwodim Exits 'Saturday Night Live' After Seven Seasons
Ego Nwodim is the latest cast member to exit Saturday Night Live.
On Friday morning (September 12), the 37-year-old star shocked fans by announcing that she was exiting the NBC sketch comedy series after seven seasons.
Keep reading to find out more…“The hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight. But after seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL,” Ego wrote on her Instagram Story.
“I am immensely grateful to Lorne [Michaels] for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship,” Ego continued. “Week after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories (and that laughter) with me always. Now invite me to your weddings please!!!”
Ego‘s exit comes after it was previously announced that she would be returning for season 51, which is set to premiere on October 4. She first joined the show in back in 2018 for season 44.
There have been a lot of shocking changes made to the cast of SNL over the past several weeks.
