Emma is on the cover of Vogue‘s September 2025 issue and Jennifer was interviewed for the article.
We learned some new details about how they met and what happened on the night when Jennifer presented Emma with her second Oscar in 2024.

In the article, it was revealed that Jennifer and Emma had both tested “for the same part in a comedy pilot. Stone and Lawrence were often up for the same things; neither got this one, and the sitcom never went to series.”
Jennifer told Vogue that Emma is an “undeniable” talent, as proven by her two Oscar wins.
“In true Emily form, as soon as we got offstage and ran into the bathroom to scream and cry, I whispered, Two-time best-actress winner, and she replied, ‘I feel like that’s bad, though,’” Jennifer said.
Jennifer also opened up about Emma shaving her head for the upcoming movie Bugonia.
“I really didn’t want her to shave her head,” Jennifer said. “I had already lived through the Billie Jean King haircut.”
“Honestly, she looked beautiful,” she added. “She pulled it off.”
Emma also opened up about being a mom!
