George Clooney Drops Out of 'Jay Kelly' Telluride Premiere Due to Doctor's Orders

George Clooney is saying goodbye to the 2025 Venice Film Festival, but his next destination has changed.

The Oscar-winning actor was spotted with his wife Amal while riding a water taxi to leave the city on Friday (August 29) in Venice, Italy.

George was supposed to travel to Telluride, Colorado for the North American premiere of his new movie Jay Kelly this weekend, but he’s no longer allowed to attend on doctor’s orders.

If you didn’t know, George has been suffering a sinus infection this week while at the festival, but he still attended the Jay Kelly world premiere on Thursday night.

A rep for the actor confirms he will not be able to travel to Telluride.

“Unfortunately, because of the sinus and ear infections that George is currently suffering from, his doctors have told him that it would be impossible for him to fly to Telluride to support his new film, Jay Kelly. This is, of course extremely disappointing for him because he was looking forward to celebrating the US premiere in Telluride with his fellow cast members and Noah,” the rep told Deadline.
