Halle Berry Pushes Back on Questions About Her Age: ‘Does That Always Have to Define Us As Women?’ – Closer Weekly | Closer Weekly

Halle Berry is sick of talking about how old she is.

On the Heart Evening Show that hit airwaves on Wednesday, February 4, Berry, 59, responded sharply when asked what subject she wishes people would stop bringing up.

“Stop asking me about my f**king age, man!” she said.

“Whatever age I am at the time that seems to come up,” she said, explaining that women in Hollywood seem forced to deal with the topic far more often than men. “And it’s like, man, can we ever get outside of that?”

While age is part of the narrative in her upcoming film Crime 101, Berry said she prefers discussing it through her work — not as a personal headline.

“Does that always have to define us as women?” she asked.

And that’s not the only form of ageism Berry has been challenging. In recent years, the actress and founder of menopause-focused healthcare company Respin, has become a leading voice around menopause, advocating for better education, medical care and resources for women in midlife.
