HBO Max Black Friday Deal: 73% Off Basic Plan With Ads for One Year
Warner Bros. Discovery is hoping to lock in new and returning HBO Max customers with a one-week Black Friday promotion.
Beginning Monday, eligible subscribers can sign up for HBO Max’s Basic with Ads plan with a special Black Friday offer of $2.99 per month for the first 12 months, which is a discount of 73% off the regular price of $10.99 per month. After the promotional period expires, the rates will go back to the standard price.
The limited-time offer is available through next Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, for new and returning subscribers on HBOMax.com, Apple, Google Play, Roku, Samsung, Xumo, additional select partners, and for new HBO Max customers only on Amazon Fire TV.
HBO Max is the streaming home for exclusive original series, blockbuster movies, and documentaries, as well as a library of TV shows and films from brands like HBO, Warner Bros., A24 and the DC Universe.
HBO Max’s upcoming lineup of programming includes the recently released HBO originals “I Love LA,” “The Chair Company,” “IT: Welcome to Derry” and “The Seduction”; documentaries “Alex vs. ARod,” “One to One: John & Yoko” and “Thoughts & Prayers.” The streamer also includes favorite older TV titles like “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory.” HBO Max also offers movies from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Turner Classic Movies, A24, Studio Ghibli and more, including films like “Weapons” and “The Substance” and fan-favorite franchises like Harry Potter, The Conjuring and Final Destination.
Coming in 2026 to HBO Max are new series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” “Half Man,” “DTF St. Louis” and “Lanterns,” plus new seasons of “Industry,” “Hacks,” “The Pitt,” “Euphoria” and “Game of Thrones” spinoff “House of the Dragon.”
WBD also touted HBO Max’s lineup of Christmas movies on the service, including “Elf,” “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” “A Christmas Story,” “The Polar Express” and the streaming premiere of “The Family McMullen” (on Dec. 5).
