Some HGTV stars’ relationships are simply beyond repair. There have been several couples who have made their debut on the network in shows over the years, but not all of their romances have lasted. Closer reveals which HGTV couples have broken up.
Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa
Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa kickstarted their HGTV journey in 2013’s Flip or Flop. Three years later, the twosome announced their split.
“During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be,” they said in the statement to People in December 2016. “We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”
The former couple, who share kids Taylor and Brayden, finalized their divorce in January 2018. They continued to work together on Flip or Flop until the show ended in March 2022.
Christina Haack and Josh Hall
After Christina split from Tarek, she was married to her second husband, Ant Anstead, from 2018 to 2021. They welcomed one child together during their marriage, son Hudson. In 2021, Christina married her third husband, Josh Hall.
Josh appeared on Christina’s shows Christina on the Coast and Christina in the Country. He was also slated to compete with her on The Flip Off, going head to head against Tarek and his second wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. However, Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024. She also filed, and they’ve been engaged in a messy divorce battle ever since. HGTV continued filming The Flip Off without Josh.
Page Turner and DeRon Jenkins
Exes Page Turner and DeRon Jenkins were tapped as hosts of Flip or Flop Nashville, which debuted in 2018. The duo opened up to People about how they worked together after their “traumatic breakup.” DeRon said that they were together romantically “for like five years” before they decided to end their relationship and continue on as business partners.
“Are there ever really any good breakups?” Page said. “One thing we did well was make money together.”
Kortney and Dave Wilson
Masters of Flip’s Kortney and Dave Wilson began their home renovation series in 2015. The world was shocked when they announced their split in a joint statement in December 2019.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we share with all of you that after nearly 18 years of marriage, we have decided to separate,” they said. “As most of you know, there is so much more to every story and ours is no different. What we want you to know most of all is that we have the utmost love and respect for one another. We ask for kindness and understanding during this very difficult and private time.”
After their split, their show Making it Home with Kortney and Dave aired on HGTV Canada before Dave left after one season. The exes share kids Jett, Sully and Lennox.
She later reflected on their split, saying, “I’ve met so many people who feel like their life is over post-divorce or, you know, and people have gone through some hard times. And I did that. There were times when I was just surviving, and we have to pick our feet up and put them in front of each other.”
Kortney went on to marry Ryan Vella in July 2023.
