EXCLUSIVE: Verve has signed actress January Jones for representation.
Jones is best known for her role as Betty Draper, wife of Jon Hamm’s ad man Don Draper, on AMC’s drama Mad Men, for which she earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Drama over the course of seven seasons. Her character, the poised yet complex suburban housewife of the 1960s, is one of the most enduring and talked about roles in modern television history.
Jones is otherwise best known for starring opposite Will Forte in Fox’s cult hit comedy The Last Man on Earth, which ran for four seasons. In television, she’s more recently been seen on Netflix’s The Politician, from creators Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy.
Up next, Jones will appear in the A24 horror flick Altar, directed by Russian filmmaker Egor Abramenko (Sputnik). Based on a short story by Philip Fracassi, the film has her sharing the screen with Kyle MacLachlan, David Krumholtz, and Good One breakout Lily Collias.
Jones continues to be represented by Mosaic as well as Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Other recent additions to the roster at Verve include On Swift Horses producer Wavelength, Rosario helmer Felipe Vargas, and The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer and co-showrunner Eric Tuchman, to name just a few.
