From Shameless to his award-winning role in The Bear, Jeremy Allen White is one of the biggest actors currently working today. And now he’s taking on arguably one of his most challenging roles yet, embodying the legendary Bruce Springsteen in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
The upcoming biopic follows Springsteen (White) as he conceives and records his 1982 album, Nebraska, which marked a notable departure from the rock ‘n’ roll sound he had been known for up until that point. The film charts what was going on in Bruce’s life at the time, as well as looks back at his upbringing in New Jersey.
So, to celebrate his upcoming film, we had Jeremy sit down and try to answer 30 questions about his work, life, and everything in between as quickly as possible.
To start off, he revealed that “Reason to Believe” was his favorite Springsteen song to perform in the movie, as well as his favorite song on Nebraska, which is “My Father’s House.”
We looked back on his time as Lip Gallagher in Shameless, when he revealed that he took the Gallaghers’ bat that was always at the bottom of the stairs for 11 seasons.
And Jeremy revealed that, yes, The Bear cast has a group chat, and yes, it does have a name.
Aside from his work, we also just took the time to get to know Jeremy a little better, like what his go-to movie theater snack is, the current TV show he would love to guest star on, and what’s on his bucket list.
And be sure to watch Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, which is in theaters Oct. 24.
