Jon Stewart to Remain with 'Daily Show' as Monday Night Host Through 2026


Jon Stewart is sticking with The Daily Show!

Comedy Central announced on Monday (November 3) that the 62-year-old host will stick with the show through December 2026. He’ll continue hosting on Monday nights with rotating hosts the remainder of the weekdays.

Jon Stewart continues to elevate the genre he created. His return is an ongoing commitment to the incisive comedy and sharp commentary that define The Daily Show,” Comedy Central head Ari Pearce said in a statement (via NBC News). “The renewal is a win for audiences, for Comedy Central and for all our programming partners. We’re proud to support Jon and the extraordinary news team.”

Over the summer, Jon used his platform to slam CBS’ decision for ending Stephen Colbert‘s late night show.

And as of this summer, his future at the network remained uncertain.
