Kevin McHale Shares His Only Regret from the 'Glee' Finale

Kevin McHale says he only has one regret when it comes to the Glee finale.

The 37-year-old played the role of Artie on the Ryan Murphy musical series. On the Monday (July 28) episode of And That’s What You Really Missed, the podcast he hosts with Jenna Ushkowitz, the two of them talked about the final episode of the show.

According to Kevin, there was just one thing he felt was missing from the Glee finale.

According to Kevin, the finale was missing a duet between Brittany and Santana, played by Heather Morris and Naya Rivera.

“I wish we got a moment for them,” Kevin said of the couple not getting a song in the finale. The actor went on to acknowledge that giving them a duet of their own may have felt like “fan service,” which he thinks may have been why it wasn’t written into the episode.

Jenna, who played Tina on Glee, said she felt like the songs were all selected perfectly to fit the storyline of the finale. She said on the episode, “[The songs] wove into the storyline. It didn’t feel like, ‘Oh, let’s just throw it in there because we love these characters.’ It was just very meticulous.”

We’ve sadly had to say goodbye to several Glee cast members since the show ended.
