Mark Sanchez Returns to Instagram to Share First Post Following Arrest in Stabbing Incident

Mark Sanchez is returning to Instagram for the first time since his arrest after he was stabbed.

Back in October, the 38-year-old former NFL player was allegedly the aggressor in a violent incident that happened, leading to his arrest while in the hospital.

While in Indianapolis to cover a game for Fox Sports, Mark allegedly assaulted a 69-year-old delivery driver while in an alley by a bar and then the man stabbed him in response. The fight reportedly broke out over a parking spot.

On Friday (December 5), Mark returned to Instagram to share his first post since his arrest, though he did not directly address the situation.

In the caption of the post, Mark wished his followers a happy holiday season.

“This time of year always makes me look around and appreciate what matters, but this one hits different,” Mark began. “I’m just grateful—to wake up, to be home, and to be able to wrap my arms around my wife and kids.”

“Thank you to the people who kept me standing and gave my family opportunities to share moments like these,” he continued. “From our family to yours, we wish you a happy and peaceful holiday season.”

Following the incident, Mark is now facing a Level 5 battery charge. The punishment for that type of charge is one to six years in jail. He has also been fired from his job at Fox Sports.

Bobby T also recently addressed Mark‘s arrest.
