One of the biggest movies of the summer is now available to watch online. “Superman” hit expectations with more than a $583 million worldwide box office haul. If you missed the new superhero movie when it was released in theaters in July, you can now watch it at home.
“Superman” in 4K Ultra HD is available to rent for $24.99, or buy for $29.99 online on Prime Video, Apple TV and other video-on-demand platforms.
Please note: If you opt to rent the movie, you’ll have access to it for 30 days. And once you start it, you’ll only have 48 hours to finish it.
Meanwhile, “Superman” will also release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD starting at $19.95 (reg. $24.99) on Amazon. Warner Bros. Pictures announced the physical media release date is on Tuesday, Sept. 23, so it’s available for preorder right now. After you preorder, the retail giant will send you an email notification when the release will ship to your home.
As for the movie itself, Variety film critic Owen Gleiberman praises it as, “James Gunn‘s energized reboot,” while it’s “winning enough to channel the spirit of the comics,” in his review. “David Corenswet’s slightly puppyish Superman radiates a joy in what he’s doing, but he’s far from invincible. That lends the film emotional stakes,” he continues.
In addition, the other series in the cinematic universe, including “Creature Commandos” and “Peacemaker,” are streamable on HBO Max.
“Superman” is directed by James Gunn and follows Superman (David Corenswet) caught in the middle of a conflict overseas, as well as a conflict domestically with tech billionaire Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult). The movie also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced and others.
