Rachel Purcell shares newborn son’s beautiful name

Rachel Purcell welcomed her first child with her husband, Kevin in August.

She shared the good news earlier this month with a beautiful black and white video of the newborn asleep.

She wrote: “Everything we dreamed of and more. 28.08.25”

She was met with sweet messages from her friends, with Louise Cooney writing: “Awwww huge congrats Rachel, he is beautiful so happy for you!”

“Oh congratulations to you and Kev he’s gorgeous,” Laura Fox said.

Síle Seoige commented: “Perfection huge congrats to you all xxx”

Rachel went on to share pictures of their newborn in hospital before pictures of proud dad Kevin bringing him home and their first few days at home with their bundle of joy.

“Life lately,” she captioned.

She went on to reveal the beautiful name of her son as she shared a video of the little one.

“Two weeks with Sonny,” she wrote.

Sonny, what a gorgeous name!

And her friends were delighted with the name as Aideen Feely said: “The name.”

“He’s so gorgeous,” Molly Keane added.

“Doty boy,” Sabrina Hill commented.

Rachel shared that she was welcoming a little boy back in May, in the video she told the news to her nephews admitting that she “couldn’t wait to share it with the boys”.

Rachel and Kevin tied the knot in 2024 surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
