Per the outlet, the show “follows Layla (Kendrick), a sharp and resourceful American diplomat, who faces an impossible choice to protect the U.S. Ambassador (Simmons) or follow his orders to exfiltrate a high value asset when armed mercenaries storm the U.S. Embassy in London. She’s forced to rely on her instincts and the reluctant help of her battle-hardened ex-fiancé, Connor Wright (Heughan), in the tense hours before extraction.”

Sam has since finished filming Outlander and the show’s eighth and final season will be released this March.

Apart from the drama series based on Diana Gabaldon‘s book series, he is also starred in the first season of the Starz series The Couple Next Door, which was renewed for a second season.

Previously, Sam shared that the cast doesn’t know how Outlander will end.
