Savannah Guthrie's Brother-In-Law 'May Be' Prime Suspect in Nancy's Kidnapping

A shocking new twist has unraveled in the disappearance of “TODAY” host Savannah Guthrie‘s kidnapped mother Nancy Guthrie — Nancy’s son-in-law allegedly may become a suspect.

Thomas Cion — the husband of Savannah’s sister Annie — “may be a prime suspect” in the shocking case, according to Ashleigh Banfield … though we don’t know why. Ashleigh reported the stunning possibility on Tuesday’s episode of “Drop Dead Serious” and cited a source with “impeccable credentials.”

The veteran journalist also reported Annie’s car has been towed and is being used as evidence in the ongoing investigation … and that all the cameras at Nancy’s Tucson, Arizona home were smashed in.

It’s important to note this information has yet to be confirmed by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

This is yet another bombshell development in the riveting case — on Tuesday, reports that blood was found in Nancy’s residence circulated, and video from her front steps show a trail of blood drops leading from her door.

TMZ also obtained a ransom note — which is currently unverified — that we forwarded to detectives.

The devastating situation has had audiences’ eyes peeled since 84-year-old Nancy was first reported missing on Sunday. She was last seen Saturday night by family … and authorities believe she was taken against her will.

Savannah addressed her mom’s disappearance on Instagram Monday and asked for prayers. She has not appeared on “TODAY” this week and will no longer be hosting the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics for NBC.
