'The Pitt' Drama? Report Suggests Tracy Ifeachor Didn't Choose to Leave the Show

Tracy Ifeachor is not returning for the second season of The Pitt and a new report suggests that there may have been some drama surrounding her exit from the show.

The actress starred in season one as senior resident Dr. Heather Collins, who was dealing with a miscarriage and ended up getting sent home from work early to rest up. She did not appear in the final four episodes of the season due to this storyline.

Dr. Collins was previously in a romantic relationship with Noah Wyle‘s character Dr. Robby and we learned that she got pregnant and secretly had an abortion while they were together.

Now, Tracy will not be back for season two. So, what happened?

A source told Variety “that the decision was made by the show’s creative team; Ifeachor is not leaving The Pitt of her own accord.”

Awards Watch editor-in-chief Erik Anderson also alluded to drama behind-the-scenes in a post on Twitter. He wrote, “The backstory of potentially why is…something.”

Tracy took to Instagram this week to say goodbye to the show. She posted about how it was “a blessing to be a part of this first and foundational season of #ThePitt on @hbomax. It was an absolute privilege to play Dr. Heather Collins in such a groundbreaking season and piece.”
