Wes Goes Undercover in ‘FBI: International’ Season 4 Sneak Peek

The final season of FBI: International continues to trot towards the finishing line as the elite group of FBI agents that make up the Fly Team continue to solve international crimes against Americans abroad. In an all-new episode of the police procedural set to air next Tuesday, the Fly Team are set to oversee an undercover mission which has their boss, Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) going undercover. The upcoming episode is yet to receive an official logline from CBS, but the episode’s title, “Flinch Now and It’s Over”, offers a clue that this mission is high-stakes, and the unit must hold their nerve. A logline might not be available yet, but CBS released a sneak peek of the episode, previewing the state of play when FBI: International returns next Tuesday.

The Fly Team are no strangers to high-pressure situations, however, this particular mission seems to have everyone on edge. The clip begins with Raines (Carter Redwood) on the lookout, saying “Something is wrong,” as he keeps an eye out. A blacked-out sedan pulls out of a premises even as Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) asks, “Are we sure we are not blown?” In response, Tyler (Jay Hayden) answers, “We will be if we make the wrong move.” While Raines seems eager to follow whoever it is the team are tracking, Tyler insists he stands down and “waits to see what happens.” The tension in the surveillance van is palpable as Vo says, “This thing is about to go sideways.” Ultimately, Wes is unmasked by a pair of unidentified persons, hinting that he could have been kidnapped. But the boss seems eerily calm for one taken against his will.

The Storms and Calms Before the End

As previously announced, FBI: International is ending after four seasons, which comes as somewhat of a shock, as the show remains quite popular. For the Fly Team, they remain committed to handling their task to the best of their ability, as they displayed in FBI: International Season 4, Episode 18, “Lone Wolf.” On the creative side of things, the show’s writers seem set to be crafting storylines that write off some of our favorite characters decently, setting them up for roles outside Fly Team. FBI: International Season 4, Episode 19, “Flinch Now and It’s Over” airs next Tuesday on CBS, after which the show will take a week-long hiatus before returning with the 20th episode on May 6, 2025. The series finale airs on CBS on Tuesday, May 20.

Tune in to CBS on Tuesday to watch “Flinch Now and It’s Over,” and stay tuned to Collider for further updates about the fourth and final season of FBI: International.
